For all gifts through the PCA Foundation, use Fund #4150 and/or SB2W Tidewater True Greatness Fund
Why should I give?
Summer’s Best Two Weeks is far more than just a week or two of a fun sports camp. For campers who come multiple years, it can be a transformative experience that shapes them as people who glorify God as they compete not just in sports, but in all of life. For teens and young adults who serve as counselors, it is an opportunity to grow in faith, leadership, and skills, often discovering a lifelong calling for teaching and ministry. For churches, it is an opportunity to serve together in an outreach ministry that equally welcomes churched and un-churched families and offers serious growth and discipleship in a fun and exciting setting. While our camp tuition fees cover the program basics and let us “run” simple sports camps, we need the generous support of donors to pursue the full mission of SB2W Tidewater
What is the money for?
Gifts designated for SB2W Tidewater are used for three primary purposes:
To thoroughly recruit, train, equip, and disciple our senior counselors (college students and other young adults)
To provide scholarships so finances don’t hinder any families from coming to camp
To start new camp locations and maintain them as they grow
(back to top and giving buttons)
What do specific amounts cover?
$1000 covers the full summer training and discipleship costs for one senior counselor
$500 covers food and incidental site costs for a smaller location
$250 covers a camper scholarship for a two-week camp
$100 covers a mid-summer Busch Gardens trip for one counselor
Any amount helps provide for the long-term stability and growth of the camp ministry
How Is the Money actually processed?
Resurrection Community Church has established a fund at the PCA Foundation to receive designated donations for SB2W Tidewater. You can make donations by ACH or credit card by using this link and designating Fund #4150 and/or SB2W Tidewater True Greatness Fund. You can mail checks (with those designations in the memo line), payable to PCA Foundation, 1700 N Brown Bridge Rd, Suite 103, Lawrenceville, GA 30043. If you’re interested in other forms of giving (stocks, real estate, etc), please see this page for more details and the Foundation staff are also happy to discuss various options for generosity depending on your specific situation. The Foundation then grants money from the fund to Resurrection as needed to cover camp operating expenses. Meanwhile, the Foundation will invest the fund balance using a conservative investment strategy to provide some growth while ensuring plenty is always available for operational needs.
